Escape to Segovia
Segovia is wonderful, all churches, crumbling seminaries, friendly people, deep blue skies… and Roman Aqueduct. My son and I escaped for the day on the new high speed train service from Madrid. What used to take nearly two hours on the crawling regional service is now dispatched, at 250 km/h, in about 25 minutes. And what a change of perspective it brings! Hurray for Day Trips!

¡qué perspectiva! me gustan mucho las fotos
Nice one getting away Ben. Only 25 minutes by train, that’s impressive. I particularly like the composition on the second one.
Love the second shot.
lovely Spanish light!
Thanks for the comments everyone! It was a lovely day out – it’s amazing how suddenly everything is so photogenic when you go somewhere else for a day!
My favorite town! I lived across the street from San Millán as a college student. Thanks for the photos!
Segovia is such a pretty town. I loved the aquaduct and the Alcazar. Nice black white shot of the aquaduct!
My family and I took the high speed train to Segovia that same day. It was lovely! (Wonder if we were on the same trains)
